This morning, we attended a synopsium where a panel of 4 amazing women spoke about their experiences in the fields of architecture, AI, art, music, and their ties to CS. While 3 were alumni of Cooper Union, one speaker, Ari Melenciano, stood out because of the immense variety of fields her skills tie into. Not only is she an artist, designer, educator, engineer, political activist, and musician, but she has also worked on countless projects that I think are impressive because of how she manages to apply her roots in art and create things that personally, I wouldn't have thought of doing because of my current lack of skills in CS.

Most of all, I like her the best because she inspires me with hope. Because she spoke about how she didn't start learning and applying CS immediately before college, I relate with her and see her as the person I hope to become. If she can advance and apply herself to hard work and self-motivation, so can I!

In the afternoon, I worked on the login and signup components of Nohmad, and was able to learn how to link to non-existing external pages, as well as get used to nesting and importing components across different pages.

On Monday, I hope to learn how to push and pull from different branches and better deal with merge conflicts.
