On Thursday we started the day off with setting up our projects on Gitlab, using the boilerplate that Jon sent to us. It might've been confusing to set up, but I think the boilerplate helped my team by providing a template as a starting point. We spent most of our time before lunch playing around with the boilerplate in Sublime Text and seeing how altering the code altered different aspects of the site online, which I think is really cool because until now, I didn't realize you could establish a direct link between a web browser and raw code.
Lunch was shortened that day, so Sophia and I just grabbed a quick bite at Ray's Pizza and Bagel Cafe, which is always a good place to go when you're short on time and looking for quality thin-crust pizza.
After lunch, we met up with our class at the 8th St. stop and rode the subway to Colombia University for the College Fair and Financial Aid Seminar.

I found the event to be semi-helpful because of the lack of time my team got to explore the fair. Because we had a client call scheduled for Thursday, we had to Skype our client in the middle of the college fair, which was tricky given the lack of quiet space and wifi connection. In the end, we had to settle for Skyping through a phone, with no earbuds because the connector was faulty as well.
One good thing that came out of that event, however, was me learning about the Computing Securities major at the Rochester Institute of Technology. That piece of knowledge instantly boosted RIT to the middle of my college application list because my dream career would be one in cybersecurity, of which Computing Securities is heavily involved with.

Because I had never gone home from the Colombia University locale, Sophia helped me get back to Penn Station (lmao!), and I was left with some extra time to roam around. I think the Cooper Union Summer STEM program really gives me the freedom to explore the city to an extent because, without it, my parents wouldn't have the need to let me wander around alone. For that, I am profusely glad. :)
